The Most Reverend Gintaras Grusas, Archbishop of Vilnius and President of the Council of European Bishops Conferences will preside during the consecration ceremonies. Archbishop Jose Gomez and clergy of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles have also been invited. (Church occupancy is 400 only and this is a ticketed event.) Outdoor seating will be available.
Immediately after Mass, everyone is invited to the unveiling and blessing of the the Blessed Teofilius Matulionis mural in the parking lot. Blessed Matulionis is a prelate and martyr. The tile mural was made by Uriarte Talavera , a 200 year old manufacturer in Puebla, Mexico. It is the largest Matulionis mural outside Lithuania. Lithuanian songs and folk dances will be presented at the festivities.
A homecoming reception for Archbishop Grusas will follow at the Lietuvos Kulturos Centras. Grusas was a beloved parishioner of St. Casimir's. Thereafter, the church will be open for visitations and private prayers.
